Bruised & Beaten Down |
This is Day 126 of my #6MonthsOfGrief Project. To learn more about this practice, feel free to visit Day One, where I explain this project in more detail.
Today was a brutal day. I felt beaten down and very close to wanting to end my life because I just can't live with this grief anymore. But I asked for help and my friends supported me. I called my therapist and she talked me through my feelings. I said yes to an invitation to dinner and drinks and I feel better. When I was down deep in that pit of darkness, it felt like I would never, ever come up to breathe again. I have to remember that those moments pass, even though they feel completely overwhelming in the moment.
