6 Months of Grief Project: Day 100!

Bridal Bear

This is Day 100(!) of my #6MonthsOfGrief Project. To learn more about this practice, feel free to visit Day One, where I explain this project in more detail.

Yesterday was my 11-year wedding anniversary. It snuck up on me and hit me like a ton of bricks. I could barely process it. I could barely function. I am still reeling. Today's image was originally taken during the Brides of March, one of the many events my husband loved participating in. He is wearing a custom-made bridal gown, crafted for his 6' 9", 400 lb. frame. He loved being a pretty lady with his giant beard glittering in the sunshine. I will never meet another man like him and it breaks my heart all over again to remember him as my bridal bear.
